About Wild Trek Tours

We are a small family run trekking company that runs trekking tours within Australia and conducts Kokoda trail tours in the dry season, normally May to October.

We limit our group size to 6 – 12 trekkers, and normally carry all our own packs and gear, except for Kokoda where we utilise the fantastic local porters and include a local guide.

All treks include training guides and gear information, and we carry a satellite phone for all emergency situations.

Beginners And Families

Beginners and families are welcome as we cater for all groups. We can arrange a loan of gear including backpacks, tents, sleeping mats and other gear before you go to the expense of buying your own.

Beginners would start on easier day or overnight hikes and we can advise on what personal gear and food is needed, as well as the level of fitness required. If you would like to try a particular hike and it is not listed on our menu, please contact us and we can provide further information.

Training

We are a Melbourne based company, and we arrange training hikes throughout the year, mainly based around the Mornington Peninsula, Mt Donna Buang, Werribee Gorge, and other locations.

Our training hikes are normally undertaken on weekends. Please contact us to arrange scheduling and meet up to join our hikes. For those who wish to undertake their own individual training.
