Wilsons Promontory is one of the most popular national parks in Victoria that’s renowned throughout Australia for its beauty. Anyone wanting to see the best parts of the Wilsons Promontory landscape can book with Wild Trek Tours for our guided Oberon Bay walk in Wilsons Prom.
The Oberon Bay hike starting from Tidal River is a fairly easy day walk where you camp the night and walk back the next day. The Oberon Bay walking track goes through the dunes and then through the campground to Norman Beach.
The Oberon Bay camping site is located on the western side of Wilsons Prom, which can be accessed by the walking track starting from either Tidal River or Telegraph Junction.
You will come across great scenery along the way. The beach provides a fantastic view of the Glennie Group of islands to the east and the Cleft Group to the south, including a view to Skull Rock. We pass Little Oberon Bay on our way to the campsite. The return track is around 17km and there is a pit toilet available. We normally walk this track in the warmer months – December to April.
Do you want to see everything the Oberon Bay walking track has to offer? Wild Trek Tours can show you everything on our 2 day guided Oberon Bay hike, if you have an interest in booking an Oberon Bay camping trip with one of our expert guides.
